After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in London and then graduating from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business with an MBA degree, Tim moved to Australia in the mid 1970’s.

Film and Television industry

He began working in the film and television industry in 1983 and soon discovered a love of children’s programs and animation, which has motivated his career over three decades. He held senior positions with Australian production companies Beyond International and Yoram Gross Film Studios (now Flying Bark), and co-founded Sticky Pictures in 2002.  His Executive Producer credits include the animated TV series Blinky Bill, Flipper & Lopaka, Old Tom, Yakkity Yak, Pearlie and Dennis & Gnasher.

ABC TV Children’s programming goes digital

In 2007, Tim was appointed Executive Head of Children’s Content for ABC TV, and became Controller of Children’s in 2010. In these roles, Tim led the launch of the digital school-age channel ABC3 in 2009 and the re-launch of pre-school channel ABC4Kids in 2011.  These channels are strong market leaders in Australia, and form the core of 30 hours of children’s content broadcast daily by ABC TV.

Multichannel delivery

In his role as Controller of Children’s programming, Tim supervises ABC TV’s Educational programs and all online content for children including two dedicated sites and delivery to mobile devices
